This is my side of an Art Trade with , a headshot sketch of her OC Demonia.
As you may notice, the shading behind her goes in a sort of swirl....I have no idea why I did that....just some sort of artistic urge that said 'This'll look so cool if we swirl it like this'.
I'll admit to myself, it does look awesome. But the urge was new to me. Guess that's what happens when I actually draw something.
I practiced expressions by opening Demonia's mouth slightly, as you'll notice, which that alone gives her more of an expression.
She had said in one of her pictures of Demonia that the scarf was optional, but I wanted to put it in since I'm not the best artist, and figured that adding the scarf there would make it look better. I love how I did it, too.

Whaddaya think? Am I getting better?
